Yeppoon Australia Fishing
Yeppoon is an about 30 minutes’ drive north east of Rockhampton. It is the main port for anyone wanting to visit Keppel Islands.
There is offshore reef fishing and estuary fishing. Giant cod is what is caught when you drop your line into the estuary. There are also hussars which some are used for bait to catch other deep-sea fish.
The best tasting fish comes in a color of red, such as the red emperor. These are easily caught the offshore reefs. The minimum size is 55cm.
There are also shipwrecks that can be fished and there seems to be good luck in catching your limit too. You can use bait and get fish such as tuna, emperor, sweetlips, hussar, coral trout and shark. But fishing with chrome lures are an option and you’ll be able to catch white trevally, amberjack, and mackerel.
